This year has been our first Valentines day together after 3 years of dating. Its not the easiest being on opposite sides of the world but we made it work. The bf took me on a shopping trip earlier this week and bought me a few things like the top I'm wearing in the pictures and this gorgeous Thomas Sabo bracelet and charm. I have been coveting one of these for the longest time, so it was just perfect. I didn't get him anything quite as extravagant (waiting for his birthday for that -28th), but I ordered some red roses, homemade cupcakes and a pizza. Yes a pizza haha, I'm so romantic aren't I? I called pizza hut to ask if they'd make a special valentines day pizza for me to which the lady with a strong asian accent said no. But my luck improved with dominoes, who made the perfect pizza with a heart in black olives (D's fave). He had no idea and almost refused the delivery! I would have taken a picture but it was half eaten by the time I got home. We had a nice day enjoying each others company. I hope you have an awesome V day too!
Radlab: The Photoshop Cheat
Radlab is an ingenious photoshop plugin. It will dramatically change your photography. I first read about radlab a while ago on 'A Beautiful Mess' blog. After some thorough reading I decided to give it a go. Radlab is like a recipe book. You have stylets that are 'ingredients' for your photography. You can use a few stylets or a single one like sprinkling on salt or pepper, or both. Then comes the fun part. The recipe section; this combines numerous stylets, changes the intensity of each one to create something beautiful and professional. And I haven't even gotten to the best part. All the effects can be seen in real time before they are applied, a lot like instagram filters but for profesh photographers. This plugin has reduced my editing time drastically and improved the look of my photos. I know I sound obsessed (kind of am, and this isn't even a sponsored post) but I wish someone had told me about this earlier so I'm telling you now. To really show the amazingness of this product I've used a picture taken with my VGA (shitty) webcam and turned it into something artistic.
Silly me, I forgot to add a link so here it is. Radlab isn't free, but its worth it!
